The CancerBank.org Scholarship
When you started dreaming of college you never expected to have your life turned upsidedown by a cancer diagnosis. Life can change so quickly and we here at CancerBank.org want to help give a Seminole County graduating High School Seniors a little piece of normal back.
If you are a Seminole County graduating Senior who has received a cancer diagnosis or has an immediate family member (parent or sibling living in your household) who has been diagnosed with cancer, please consider completing our scholarship application below.
Scholarships are accepted Jan 1 – Mid April each year. See scholarship application for this years deadline. Applications recieved outside of those dates will not be considered.
Who is Eligible
Seminole County High School Senior
Scholarships are limited to registered Seminole County High School Seniors applying to a college, university, or trade school program within Florida.
Should you win the scholarship, you will need to provide documentation of a cancer diagnosis for you or an immediate family member (parent or sibling living in your household).
Applicant has shown determination for classroom academic achievement. This will be determined through applicants High School transcript, personal statements, and a letter of recommendation.
How To Apply
Get an application
These can be downloaded below or received from your high school guidence department.
While applications are available all year, applications are only accepted between Jan 1 and Mid April each year. Please see this years application for exact date.
Gather your paperwork
- Complete the application including personal statements.
- Get a copy of your transcripts
- Ask a teacher, coach, employer, volunteer supervisor, or mentor to write a letter of recommendation (these can be submitted seperately).
Completed applications including the letter of recommendation must be postmarked or hand deliverd to CancerBank.org’s office by the application deadline. See application for exact date and time.
Last year we were able to award 5 local high schoolers with scholarships from CancerBank.org We can’t wait to bless more students this year.
